Help Spread SEO Goodness Around the Globe
A couple days ago I posted asking readers to translate The Blogger's Guide to SEO.
So far we already have 5 translations done:
In addition to Bulgarian, Dutch, French, Italian, and Slovakian, readers have already volunteered for these languages: Portuguese (Portugal and Brazilian), Spanish, Russian, Czech, Swedish, Tagalog, Croatian, Japanese, Romanian, Danish, German, simplified & tradisional Chinese, Croatian, Indonesian, Hungarian, and Polish. Are there any other languages where you can help translate it?
My goal is to make this the most widely available document on SEO across every language possible. For each language it gets translated into, I will donate $50 to Amnesty International. The first translation in each language will also be referenced from the original guide, which has a lot of traffic and link equity.

Hi Aaron,
I will try and do a Welsh translation, some argue the oldest language that is still spoken!
I am going home back to Sunny Wales this weekend to hopefully watch Wales win the Grand Slam against France in rugby and will ask my family to chip in as my Welsh isn't too hot! Hopefully I can throw in a celtic twist.
Well I will take the Turkish translation if noone else is taking it.
I'll try and do the German translation.
Pretty cool! Making it all different languages is worth doing it! If you needed help in the Afrikaans (South African) language, we could set it up!
Hi there Aaron,
I can help with Arabic.
Let me know ASAP please.
Thanks
That donation initiative is great! Well done! I will have Spanish ready asap.
Wasn't sure if you already had Pig Latin or not:
http://oggersblayuidegayotayeosay.blogspot.com/
So far that makes Portuguese (Portugal and Brazilian), Spanish, Bulgarian, Russian, Czech, French, Swedish, Slovak, Tagalog, Croatian, Japanese, Romanian, Danish, German, simplified & tradisional Chinese, Italian, Croatian, Indonesian, Hungarian, Polish, Hebrew, Welsh, Arabic, Turkish, and Afrikaans.
Bulgarian, Dutch, French, Italian, and Pig Latin are already published.
Hi, I just finished the slovak translation. I am working on it every day... good idea, thanks for the opportunity.

Hey Aaron,
I got the Dutch bloggers guide translated accurately and completely now, but now my server is down :( I'll let you know as soon as I am up again. My hoster is probably going to do an all-nighter on this one.. being down ain't no fun :(
The pig latin version is funny though. True blast from the past!
Hi Aaron,
Simplified Chinese version is posted here:
http://www.chinamyhosting.com/seoblog/2008/03/14/blog-seo/
Thanks Zac and tomorrow is fine by me DeFries.
Dutch translation can be found @

Thanks for your patience and the opportunity. btw, a great cause you're contributing to.
I have done the Arabic translation, Aaron. I just still have to get it online ;)
Will let ya know
Hi Rajab
Thank you. What flag should I associate with that translation? A specific country, or the flag of the Arab League?
Here it is Aaron: http://www.seogladiator.com/bloggers-guide-to-seo-in-arabic/
I don't know, but I guess the Arab League's flag would be great. Or you can also use Saudi Arabia's flag.
Thank you. Which of the two flags would you prefer?
Saudi Arabia's one, because it is familiar to everyone.
ok. I didn't want to mess that up. I did not know if you were from there or somewhere else and I don't know Arabic yet. :)
BTW... I envy what you study Rajab...linguistics sounds like it would be pretty cool. And your site design is fun, clean, and crisp.
LOL Aaron. Yeah, Linguistics is an interesting science to study. It answers many questions about languages and how humans speak. I would like to major in Linguistics, but that is not possible in my place. I must go to the States or Europe to do that.
I'm not a professional web designer, but I managed to make that theme look good.
btw, I have added different versions for Microsoft Word 97,2003 & 2007. I've also added a web page version for those who haven't got Microsoft office installed.
Hello,
we almost completed the blogger's guide to seo in german.
It's available here: http://www.grundlagen.com/blog_seo/
Linking to us please use this alt attribute / linktext: "Suchmaschinenoptimierung für Blogs"
We placed links to the other "official" translations. So translators please do link back, too. If there are new translations available, we will add them.
Carsten
PS: Links in the german version are missing at the moment. We have to work on that as not every Link is usefull for german readers. Should be fixed soon.
I put the translation links up at once, when all of them are finished. Hope others will follow the idea, too.
Aaron, thanks ;).
Thanks Carsten. Reference added. :)
I have just started, sorry, hope i can finalize everything in a couple more days. Cheers!
thanks for the update lowrobb :)
Here goes another $50 to Amnesty International :-)

Thanks
... the link above is Czech translation of the post.
I linked up the Czech translation. :)
Aaron, I've published the spanish translated guide in http://blog.duplika.com/guia-de-seo-para-bloggers
Thanks for sharing this with everyone.
Thanks Juanzo...I referenced your version. :)
Hi Aaron, sorry but i couldn't find anything better than this.
After i finished Indonesian version of The Blogger's Guide to SEO, i soon realized that i don't have an SEO blog. So i bought a domain and host a simple wordpress blog on it containing the translated article.
My initial idea was, i will leave the blog to be a single post blog, and linked all translation versions and the original article onboard. But if good inspiring things come, i will continue to blog about SEO in Indonesian Language and try to find opportunity to grow the blog. That way, perhaps i can spread more SEO goodness in my country.
Hope you like it, here's the link http://www.bloggersguidetoseo.com/
I will check back here often and i will link to any other finished translation versions. Link back love will be very much appreciated :-).
Cheers!
Thank you! I linked it up :)
I hope you grow to really like SEO and get deep into it.
hello Aaron
the Romanian translation is done, it will be on www.razvanalexa.ro the domain is not active cause the registrar takes 3 days to confirm. what can i tell ya, we are still getting there :)
i'll let you know when the site is up
also, is there an email i could write you at ?
Hi Lemon2x
Please ping me when the domain is live. :)
I tend to be quite bad at email now (just changed business model and am trying to spend more time in the community forums) but mysitename @ gmail .com is the email address I use.
I will Aaron, thanks for the encouragement. Somehow i need to subscribe to this post comments, are there any way how can i do it?
I think I can turn that on ... but I have to figure out how to first.
Hi, Aaron, sorry to bother about this, but I was the guy who took the spanish translation first and you said that it will be ok if I get it done by the end of March and I see there are many others still missing. I got the site ready and the translation, it will be online very soon, but I see you already linked someone else. So, Do you think I should stop my new site and re-make my content? or it will be the same case as the 2 Dutch versions?
Please let me know, Thank you
I can link to your version as well if you like.
Afrikaans is pretty much identical to Dutch so it may be a bit pointless now that you have the Dutch version up!
ok. sorry I did not know that. :(
Thank you very much Aaron!
Hi Aaron
The Portuguese version is now available at http://www.marketingnainternet.net/guia-seo-book-blog/
The alt text should be "Link para a versão em Português".
I am testing a single version for Portugal and Brazil and am asking people to comment if they are comfortable with that. If not, I'll make the necessary changes.
Thanks camoesjo ... I linked it up. :)
