SEO Book Community & Internet Marketing Training Program Now Live

I still need to work on making the sales letter better, but it is hard to have an optimal sales letter until you get a good bit of consumer feedback. Here is the sales letter for anyone wanting to join our private community and training program.

If you prefer to skip the sales letter and go right to the buy now you can find the ordering instructions here.

Our pricepoint is $100 per month, but the first 100 people to subscribe from this point on get in at $50 per month. We already have a few hundred members in the forum from people I invited to help get it started.

It'd be better to display those items

with a conditional statement, based on logged in or not. Currently it's showing every item as unregistered and registered person.

I agree with you on this. Its just that I ended up doing a lot of the coding myself because my main programmer went scarce and I was already asking a lot of the guy who helped do the complex stuff that I had no chance of being able to do, especially on short notice. :)

I'm in and psyched!

I figure if I can get a couple of pointers at $50/month it's the best investment I've made!

Thanks for joining Daniel :)

Does this mean those of use who signed up before today, get it for $50.00

February 18, 2008 - 3:30pm

The trial I gave to some members offers a free trial period, then recurs at $100/month. Optionally they may cancel that and subscribe at $50 if they are one of the next 40 subscribers.

Aaron, one more question here:

If I buy the SEOBook, is there a Community Subscription included? Do I need the SEOBook for the Community Subscription?

Thanks!

February 18, 2008 - 3:28pm

When you buy the community subscription SEO Book is included at no charge.

Managed to scoop one of the first 100 subscriptions. Yeah!

I've been following your blog for about a year now and look forward to what I can get out of the new community. Though I never did buy the book after following your blog for so long. Don't ask why as I have no answer to that question.

I have been using drupal for a few days and I think i have figured out quote a bit. The thing is I have enabled blog version 5.5 (www.beyourownit.com) and the blog layout just blows compared to yours. Is this a blog module? I know this isn't exactly seo related but any answer would be appreciated

My old designer created this design. More recently a developer converted it to a Drupal theme when he converted my site to Drupal.

Hi Tim
Can you please email me at seobook@gmail.com and I will try to get this sorted ASAP!

Hi Aaron, I think this will be a good money-maker for you, good luck with it :) Just a couple of things:

* I wasn't logged in. I read your description about the community in the Upgrade page. I clicked "Join the community today". It then said "If you already have a free SEO Book account, log in to your account". I clicked there and logged in, but it brought me to the logged-in control panel or whatever. It's probably best for you to bring me straight back to the upgrade page.

* Sorry if I missed it, but I didn't see a price mentioned anywhere. I don't know, maybe you'll scare some people off by not being up-front about it.

February 19, 2008 - 10:23am

The price point is $100 per month, and I just updated the account log-in link to take your advice. :)

I signed up with SEOmoz.org for almost 6-7 months now at $49. I found them via DIGG, a post about their PageStrength tool, they offered it for use a limited # of times a day for free.

http://www.google.com/search?q=seomoz+site%3Adigg.com&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&...

at $49 they offer (3-4) premium guides .. (probably 65-70% the seobook) which I am an owner. They also offer (12) tools I enjoy the page strength, keyword difficulty and term target.

My question is - why not offer limited access for the next 7 days, submit articles to the social sites, and lower your price to $79 for the 1st month, then $49/mo thereafter.

*The lower the recurring rate the less 'cancel' rate you will have.

I want to limit how large I grow the forum such that I can give plenty of time to each person. That is why I felt charging $100 was fair.

If you look at digg for "seo book" and "seobook" I have about half as many diggs, but never created content really geared to that audience and I think my site was on their autobury list after seo for firefox came out.

Digg traffic is typically notoriously worthless.

Aaron I signed up, (after complaining) heh ... I'm going to browse around and get to feel things out, before deciding to cancel SEOmoz or seoBook ... (both now $50/mo) cause I got in early.

after reading your story, and buying the seobook about 2 months ago, now joining the community. I am amazed at your level of content production. Nice!

Hi Aaron,
It looks like it could be a great service here. Good luck with it! I thought I could mention, I just noticed a few minor spelling/grammatical errors at a few points, mostly just in the usage. I have learned a lot from you, and wish you a lot of success. I also hope you will find the more interactive teaching to be fulfilling work.

February 19, 2008 - 4:39pm

If you find any spelling errors please let me know and I will fix them. :)

Hi Aaron,

I'm signed up and raring to go. It's only been a few months that I've really got serious with studying internet marketing and I believe - after spending a decent amount of money on hyped-up programs - that this is an investment that is really going to pay off.

I just bought the SEO Book a day before you launched the training, not knowing the book would be part and parcel of the training. No, I'm not going to ask for a refund :-)

Your book was priced very reasonably and at $50 a month (I got in quick!) for the training, it's a real steal.

I promise to be really active in picking everyone's brains, especially yours' :-)

Have a happy day!

Amit

Any insight as to what the members only tools are like?

February 19, 2008 - 4:40pm

I still need to make some of those. They are going to comprise of a couple of the public tools that were stopped being revived, a couple of the public tools being made members only, and the creation of a few more tools.

This service is more about learning and community than tools though.

Been an affiliate for awhile, pushing SEO Book.
Where do I find affiliate information on this new program?
What do I need to "change"?

February 19, 2008 - 7:58pm

Hi denpubl
At midnight eastern the links will change automatically on my end. There are some new banners inside the affiliate control panel if you want to change the banner, but other than that you are good to go as is.

Hi Aaron,

swapped out the free-for-3 in place of the lower price. I'm sure I'll give it a run the rest of the year at least. It's not like I don't know if you have enough rattling around up there to be worth the money.

Saw some info on the aff program in an email earlier but when I clicked through, the payout looked the same as for the book - 20 bones. Any thoughts on changing the commission structure?

February 20, 2008 - 1:11am

Hi Mathew
Short term I am going to leave the commission the same, but in a month or so I could likely raise payout, especially for the top tier affiliates.

I snatched one of those £25 subs and am even more psyched! Thank you Aaron. Hope this is the start of something good, big, profound and meaningful for everyone.

Should I be worried that I can't get into the community section yet? I'm receiving "Interpub, you do not have permission to access this page." I guess you still need to change my sub status? How impatient am I :)

February 20, 2008 - 9:48am

All set Interpub
