Matt Marlon, CEO of Traffic Power, who was recently profiled in the WSJ:
Mr. Marlon, 61 years old, filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy-court protection in 1996. In 1997, Mr. Marlon was indicted on charges of conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance. He later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, related to possession of a chemical used to make methamphetamine, and was sentenced to three years of probation, including six months of home confinement. The court record for his drug offense said he also had an alias, "Jimmy Ray Houts."
He recently had a fan site created at Matt Marlon.net. I wonder if he will send them a bogus lawsuit like he sent me.

I heard some rumors about why...but no need to speculate why.
Las Vegas Tribune is owned by no less than Matt Marlon himself! No wonder you read articles that defend him and Traffic Power.
July 2006 many of the Manila staff were retrenched from work upon the recommendation of its Operations Manager, Maricel Triviño who manipulated the situation to remove all employees who were against her unfavorable management style and retained those employees who are loyal to her but were not as good as those she removed from work.
TP's Manila office was closed September 2006 without paying the salaries of the employees with Matt literally abandoning the office and the remaining employees.
My current client had the unfortunate experience of dealing with hiring traffic power. They were subsequently banned from Google - They are still awaiting a reinclusion request.

Hogwarts is an address that Traffic Power used to use for a lot of their sites. On another note, the Las Vegas Tribune printed two articles a while back, telling how Traffic Power was the victim of all of the other SEO's, and that Traffic Power was really the good guys. These stories were written by Peter Romano, who does not acutally exist. They now have a free forum up at lasvegastribune.com/forum/viewforum.php?id=1, be sure to let them know what you think. Seems that every post I put up is immediately taken down. Hmmmm.
