The First Ever Blogging Scholarship
My friend Daniel recently announced that he was going to give away a $1,000 scholarship to bloggers from our scholarship website. I think it is the first ever college scholarship for bloggers. Please show some love by doing any of the following:
- nominating a friend (or yourself) for the scholarship
- blog about the scholarship
- vote for the winner (coming in 1 week)
- Digg it

Nice concept. I think college admission offices should start looking at applicant blogs (if available) as one of the factors for admissions. Many companies using blogs to recruit employees.
Too bad it only applies to US students...
Regardless, great idea!
Interesting concept. One digg for you and one nomination from me.
A scholarship is a great idea. How could it not be? So it's going to be a public vote in the end? Try promoting your contest at www.CollegeClub.com
Now this is a scholarship I like. I'm glad it rewards creativity instead of just academics. Where the hell were these when I was a student? Grrr....
Lol im a student were do i sign up
Although I'm not qualified on this one because I'm not from the US I will still blog about this scholarship to spread the good words from my fellow blogger. Goodluck to all.
Can I enter if the school I'm enrolled in is the school of hard knocks?
Didn't think so.
Anyway it's a great idea and while I wish something like this was around when I really was in school, In all likelihood though, I would have been out partying and probably missed it.
Good luck to all who enter.
I just stumbled across your post about the scholarship thanks to a link on Andy Beal's site. I had actually seen a link to the scholarship on another site and blogged about it yesterday on my company's site.
I think it is a terrific idea and I only lament that I am no longer a student, and therefore ineligible.
Nice move by Daniel. Most of the scholarships were crap back in my day but this one could really help propel somebody's personal brand value.
