Google Toolbar PageRank & Predicting PageRank Value / Connectivity
Which has greater value to an SEO:
- seeing an accurate indication of PageRank (connectivity data) -or-
- predicting what the social importance of a site or idea should be and will eventually go to (perhaps even before the site or idea is launched)
Sometimes our own successes hold us back (as we fear change and need to be financially viable until we land the really good ideas). I have a killer idea, but am unsure when I will have enough time and motivation to do it.
I want to rebrand a site soon, I am currently building at least 3 or 4 SEO tools (one of them is taking way longer than I intended), I will be going on at least 4 trips in the next 2 months, and I may have Jury duty in October. Meanwhile I have to blog away, update my ebook, read at least 3 books, interview about 15 people, do SEO for a few websites, start exercising again, and get a hair cut. :)

Well I'm almost 64, living in a leaking tent in beautiful uptown Sedona Arizona. How I got #1 in the above search (July 31, 2005) is mind bloggeling. What I would like to ask here is if anybody likes homeless veterans who don't suck and beg and complain alot and you think I deserve a break $$$......create a link to me with keyword rich content near the exiting url

Not sure I like that link building strategy.
When you feel you need a break and advertise that on others site... off topic no less, then some might view that at whining.
You said you have no idea why you rank...why would anyone want to support pushing your site higher up in the rankings, especially with less than stellar copy? With content like that it won't convert visitors. What is the point of ranking if it will not convert?
I also do not directly associate wealth and happiness, though if you marketed smartly no doubt you would not be using the leaking tent story in a year.
